One book that easily comes to mind is Lauren Weisberger’s The Devil Wears Prada (2003), a book widely recognized as a depiction of the author’s experience working under Vogue Magazine’s popular but domineering editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Okay, so here is my TBR.It is remarkable how novels set in the workplace are slowly becoming in vogue and gaining the attention of many a reader across the globe.

I believe it’s gonna hit me right in the feels, I can tell you that much. It’s about a boy, with an accelerated-aging disorder, who’s writing a manuscript about his own family. This was recommended by someone (can’t remember who) and it sounded so interesting that I immediately bought it. It’s my first time reading something by this author, so hopefully I’ll find a new favourite. This should be a fun romance set during a wedding celebration, it seems like the perfect and light read for the summer. The plot should offer a lot of food for thought so I’m looking forward to reading it.

This is an Italian book that was gifted to me for my birthday. I already know I’m gonna cry my eyes out given the setting, but I think this book is gonna be a thing of beauty and I’m so curious to finally read it. The blurb says this novel is about two young men who fall in love during a time of war and the reviews for this are outstanding. Also, it is about summer so I think it will be perfect to kick off the new season. This was the talk of the book community last year so I want to see for myself what all the hype was about. Listen, this is about food and family, it basically has my name written on it, that’s all I’m gonna say.

Natalie Tan’s Book of Luck & Fortune by Roselle Lim From what I gather there’s an array of characters who help each other out and I’m all here for it. I do love thrift shops so this novel’s already off to a good start. I know everyone and their mother has probably read this book, but I’m one of the few who hasn’t yet and since the TV show has recently come out I think now is the best time possible so that I can then binge the show. And what better way than to actually read them? You might say this is also my June TBR, since during the upcoming month I only plan to read the books on my shelves, so without further ado let’s see which they are.
